Tomasz Mucha

The founder of the Totem Group, specialising in delivering projects and complex safeguarding of works at height, a member of the Association of Flat Roofing and Facade Contractors (DAFA) holding the position of the OSH working group coordinator, author of the publications on safety of works at height. Since 2009, he has been cooperating with Latchways as a distributor and since 2015 with MSA Poland. His actions and innovative projects of backup combined with the Latchway products translate into execution on the facilities such as: the National Stadium in Warsaw, Wrocław Stadium, Okęcie Airport, Gdańsk Airport, Katowice Train Station, Business Garden in Wrocław, etc.

Patryk Pysz

Co-founder and coordinator of all training activities in CSW TOTEM. He has been working at heights since 2005. He has gained his professional experience onshore, offshore, on drilling platforms and wind turbines across the world. He transfers his knowledge to the ideas and projects implemented in CSW TOTEM. L3I IRATA Supervisor. Participant of many training courses and workshops on works at height. In his private life, he loves mountains and sport climbing.

TOMEK NOWAK
IRATA L3/i, OTDL P3/i, SPRAT L3, GWO, BOSIET
Authorised PPE inspector: Petzl, Singing Rock, Beal, Tendon, Lanex, Kong, Rock Empire. He has been working at heights from 2006. He has gained his experience during different works in Poland and abroad, e.g. on drilling platforms and wind turbines. Since 2012, he has been conducting training courses on fall prevention, both in rope and construction access. Participant of many training courses on PPE inspection, workshops and competitions related to works at height. He has won the Singing Rock Steel team contest organised in the Czech Republic twice. He is a climbing instructor – he climbs both in summer and in winter. His hobby is cycling and swimming.

BARTOSZ BIELAWSKI
IRATA L3, GWO
Born in 1979. He comes from Tychy and he graduated from the University of Silesia, Faculty of Earth Sciences, geography. A teacher, instructor and trainer. He has been working at heights since he was 18 and he has been training workers to perform works at height since 2009. He completed the first course for industrial rope access instructors in Poland. Currently, he has IRATA level 3 certificate and the Sport Climbing Instructor certificate – card no. 1672/IS/SK/2009. His main hobby is sport climbing and working with children.
Education: geography (UoS), employment counsellor (AP Cracow), underground mining machines and equipment (AGH Cracow).

WOJTEK STOLARZ
IRATA L3, OTDL

He has been working at heights since 2009 and he has gained experience during various works in Poland and abroad, onshore and offshore. He worked in e.g. Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Norway or Qatar. Now, he is sharing his experience and skills conducting IRATA, SPRAT and OTDL rope access training courses. He is also an inspector handling the periodical inspection of equipment preventing fall from height of the following manufacturers: Petzl, Singing Rock, Skylotec, Lanex, Kong. In his private life, he uses rope techniques in potholing.

He has been professionally conducting training courses for works at height, both in rope and construction access, since 2003. Apart from being an OTDL examiner, IRATA trainer and, from 2015, an assessor, he is also an authorised PPE inspector: Petzl, Singing Rock, Beal, Tendon, Lanex, Kong, Rock Empire. He graduated from higher teaching methodology studies and occupational health and safety post-graduate studies. He has participated in many training courses, workshops as well as competitions and practices related to works at height.

Co-owner of CSW TOTEM. He has been professionally conducting rope and construction access training courses since 2011. In 2014, he became a certified IRATA instructor. He is an experienced trainer of rope access, evacuation and rescue techniques and an authorised PPE inspector of Singing Rock and CT equipment. ISO9001 auditor, OTDL and GWO Working at Height instructor. When he is not working for CSW TOTEM, he shares his knowledge during training projects for foreign Clients in Europe and Asia.

TOMASZ MUCHA
IRATA L2, SPRAT, GWO
Co-owner of CSW TOTEM. He has been working at heights since 1998. He has gained the experience during execution of many unusual projects. For several years, he has been specialising in the issues related to the use of various fall protection measures, e.g. horizontal rope systems and safety nets. He has published numerous press releases regarding these issues.
ADRIAN UCIŃSKI
GWO – First Aid
He is a medical rescuer working in the Regional Emergency Medical Services in Sosnowiec, Volunteer Water Rescue Service (WOPR) rescuer, senior motorboat helmsman, sailor and a voluntary firefighter. He is also an instructor of the Medical Rescue and Safety Centre, Medical Staff Office and the instructor of the American Heart Association international specialist courses for medical personnel. His hobbies are water sports and squash.

BARBARA WALASZEK
GWO – First Aid
She has been working as a medical rescuer in the Regional Emergency Medical Services in an ambulance since 2006, a WOPR rescuer and a voluntary firefighter. She completed MA course and post-graduate studies. She is the Advanced First Aid Instructor in the Medical Rescue and Safety Centre, socially engaged in raising the awareness of premedical aid among children and teenagers. A healthy diet promoter and physical activity fan. She swims, runs and cycles.

WOJTEK POLOCZEK
GWO – Fire Awareness
He has been a professional firefighter since 2005. Currently, he holds a command post in the Fire & Rescue Unit in Radzionków. He expands his firefighting experience by working as a medical rescuer in the Specialist Height Rescue Unit and in the Specialist Search and Rescue Unit. He takes part in numerous training courses and workshops related to these specialisations. In 2014, he graduated from the Central School of the State Fire Service, where he was granted the title of the fire safety technician. Since 2016, he has been studying in the Main School of Fire Service at the Faculty of Fire Safety Engineering. The knowledge, experience and skills he has gained allow Wojciech to conduct professional training courses on fire safety in CSW Totem. He usually spends his free time with this family, in a caravan or on a bike.
MICHAŁ KONARSKI
GWO – Fire Awareness
In his everyday life, he works in the Fire & Rescue Unit in Radzionków, where he is a member of the Specialist Height Rescue Unit and in the Specialist Search and Rescue Unit. Moreover, he is the potholing instructor in the Polish Mountaineering Association, rope rescue instructor of the National Firefighting Rescue System and a downhill skiing instructor. He conducts numerous training courses on cave and rope rescue. He holds the position of the vice-president of the caving club in Tarnowskie Góry. He is also a rescuer in the Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service (GOPR). He is a fire safety technician and surveyor engineer. He is in the course of his post-graduate studies related to the pedagogical preparation to teach vocational subjects. Participant of the caving exploration expeditions to the Picos de Europa and Durmitor mountains. In his private life, he is a husband and a father of two children.

MAGDALENA ŁYP
GWO – Manual Handling

She has started her adventure with OSH with editing and creating texts in “Promotor BHP” magazine. Then, she joined the team of the Central Institute for Labour Protection of the National Research Institute, where she was responsible for promoting occupational health and safety. In 2015, she completed OSH and Safety Management Systems studies and, since then, she has undergone numerous training courses. In the Totem Group, she handles the coordination of training projects and events for the improvement of safety of works at height. The experience and skills she has gained so far allow her to work with the clients and their teams on their sensitive safety areas. When she is not at work, she is the president of the Alumni Association at the University of Occupational Safety Management in Katowice.

JAROSŁAW ZWIERZYNA
GWO – Sea Survival
He has a MSc degree in Physical Education, Volunteer Water Rescue Service (WOPR) instructor, MSW Lifeguard, BLS Rescuer, KPP Rescuer, SSI, LOK, TDI, CMAS, IDA Diver, coastal skipper, motorboat skipper, helmsman-motorman, swimming instructor, LOK, CMAS, SSI diving instructor. He is an experienced crisis management and disaster medicine lecturer as well as a P.E. teacher. A GUINESS record-breaker in plunging for distance under ice. A participant of numerous diving expeditions, organiser of rescue and first aid training courses and presentations. He was decorated with national medals – “For Sacrifice and Courage in Saving Human Life” for the flood in 2010 and the “Silver Cross of Merit” as well as the Golden Badge of Merit for his activity as a rescuer. Moreover, he is qualified to perform works at height and rope access evacuation.

IZABELA ZWIERZYNA
GWO – Sea Survival
Volunteer Water Rescue Service (WOPR) rescuer, MSW Lifeguard, BLS Rescuer, KPP Rescuer, SSI, LOK Diver, motorboat helmsman, swimming instructor, BLS-AHA (American Heart Association) medical rescue instructor, rescue dog handler. Moreover, she has participated in numerous diving expeditions and specialist rescue training courses. Co-founder and trainer of diving programme and junior WOPR teams. An organiser of the first aid and rescue training courses and presentations for children, teenagers and adults. She got the MA in Physical Education and she works as a teacher. She was decorated with the WOPR Golden Badge of Merit. She loves animals, dancing, diving and volleyball.
ANDRZEJ WIŚNIEWSKI
GWO – Sea Survival
Volunteer Water Rescue Service (WOPR) rescuer, MSW Lifeguard, BLS Rescuer, KPP Rescuer, helmsman-motorman (with a license to haul the water surface objects), yachtsman, diver, a member of the FOC team rescue and search unit, manager and pedagogue in recreation facilities for children and teenagers, logjam and sea canoeing, an organiser of active rest, physical recreation instructor, a hockey referee and fan. He was decorated with the national medal “For the Sacrifice and Courage in Saving Human Life” for the flood in 2010 and “WOPR Badge” for his activity as a rescuer. Moreover, he has undergone the rope techniques training.

JUSTYNA SZATAN
Training Courses Specialist
Her adventure with occupational health and safety started 8 years ago, when she was working for the editorial offices of trade magazines addressed to OSH specialists and professional firefighters. Since then, she has completed many professional courses and she has participated in national and international trade fairs. She also co-organised conferences for people professionally caring for life and health of their employees. In 2014, she completed the post-graduate studies in the subject of OSH and safety management systems. While working in CSW TOTEM, she continues her passion to build safety culture in workplaces she cooperates with. In our company, she handles the coordination of GWO and OSH courses as well as offers for the Employment Offices.

SANDRA GAWLAS
Training Courses Specialist
She graduated from Management and Production Engineering – Logistic Systems at the University of Silesia. From the very beginning of her professional career, she was organising training courses and workshops as well as designing happenings and events. She has gained experience both during local and international projects (e.g. European Handball Championships, Ice Hockey World Championship – A division). In CSW TOTEM, she is responsible for IRATA, SPRAT and OTDL training courses. In her private life she loves travelling and good films.
