OSH training courses for works at height are one of the main actions helping us to achieve our objective – proper preparation of workers to safe work. Regardless of the scope of the given training, in our programmes, we focus on teaching the workers:
- how to use proper techniques preventing fall from height,
- behaviours fostering safety,
- how to use PPE they use in their everyday work.
SPECIFICATION OF THE WORKING TECHNIQUE
ACCESS METHODS
| FALL RESTRAINT
The access method used for works performed near the edge. It allows the worker to access the workstation by preventing and protecting against the fall from the accessed zone.
| FALL ARREST
If there is a risk of falling from height, the suitable fall arrest systems should be used. The selection of the appropriate fall arrest method is one of the key elements necessary to make the work safe and effective.
| POSITIONING
The fall arrest systems cannot be statically loaded. Therefore, the suitable positioning methods need to be used in order to perform the work in a safe and efficient manner. They provide the worker with static support, reducing the load from worker’s arms, at the same time increasing working safety and ergonomics.
| ROPE ACCESS
Rope access techniques are used in the facilities where the infrastructure prevents standard access to the workstation. This method allows workers to access the workstations using rope systems. Rescue and evacuation operations are also conducted using this technique.
| RESCUE AND EVACUATION SYSTEMS
Rescue and evacuation operations can be also performed by using appropriate rescue equipment, which makes it possible to cut free an injured suspended in the belay system and, then, lower to the safe zone in a controlled manner or quickly evacuate the workers from the danger zone.
| TAILOR-MADE TRAINING COURSES
To meet our Clients’ expectations, we create training services adjusted to the individual preferences of the Client. The “tailor-made” training is an especially created training programme based on consultations related to the specification of the workplace environment and the analysis of needs. The training courses are extended by additional scopes, depending on the identified expectations and advanced techniques.
TARGET GROUP
BLUE COLLAR WORKERS
The training is addressed to people working on the positions exposed to the risk of falling from height.
TRAINING OBJECTIVE: To teach the workers the appropriate use of equipment and appropriate techniques protecting against falling from height.
DESCRIPTION: The training is divided into a theoretical and practical part. Special attention is paid to the practical elements and exercises performed using fall protection equipment. All of this is to make your workers well prepared to execute their work safely.
TRAINING PROGRAMME: The programme is adjusted to the position and the group of workers, so your employees are taught exactly the same techniques that they are going to use at work.
DURATION: The training programme is properly adjusted and it usually takes from 8 to 16 lesson hours.

LEGAL BASIS:
- In accordance The requirements of the Ordinance of the Minister of Economy and Labour dated 27 July 2004 on occupational health and safety training, the blue-collar workers performing particularly hazardous works should undergo a periodical training at least once a year.
- The Ordinance of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy dated 26 September 1997 on general occupational health and safety regulations classifies the works at height as particularly hazardous ones. This is why the employer is obliged to provide the workers with suitable protective measures, including the personal equipment protecting against falling from height. Using such devices is hazardous and, in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the manufacturer, requires appropriate training.
- Pursuant to Art. 237 6 § 1. of the Labour Code, the employer is obliged to inform the worker about the way of using the personal protective equipment.
TARGET GROUP
SUPERVISORY PERSONNEL
The training is addressed to the supervisory personnel responsible for proper organisation of works at height in the company.
TRAINING OBJECTIVE: The training aims at preparing the workers in the scope of legislation, required documentation, analysis of hazards associated with works at height, access methods and their use, rescue and evacuation as well as operation, use, storage and inspection of PPE protecting against falling from height.
WHAT IS IMPORTANT FOR US? Apart from the complex theoretical part of the training, there is a presentation of access methods, where you can see the acquired theory in practice. At this stage of the training, you will be able to practise the techniques you have learnt.
DURATION: The training consists of the theoretical part and a presentation. The entire training lasts 16 lesson hours.

WHERE DO WE CONDUCT OUR TRAINING?
TRAINING CENTRE
The area of the training hall is 194.5 m2. The training stations (beams, ladders, anchor hooks, ropes) are prepared to practise the manoeuvres and techniques useful in works at height as well as many structures imitating real environment of works at height.
WHERE YOU NEED US
We conduct our training courses everywhere you need us. For the needs of the training, we can adapt the structures in the workplace, building elements and, if there is no training infrastructure at the Client’s place, we provide our training structure.

In order to maintain the equipment used for works at height in a reliable condition, you need to have it periodically inspected – at least once a year. The equipment should be inspected by a competent person. We can inspect it for you. Bring the equipment to the training or send it to our commercial office.
